HTC is hosting an event on November 2 in Taipei where it is expected launch the next U series smartphones. The expected smartphones include the HTC U11 Plus and the HTC U11 Life Android One. As we inch closer to the launch event, details on both the smartphones keep emerging. The latest leak reveals tons of details about the HTC U11 Plus, and its possible design as well.
Shared on Twitter by reliable leakster Evan Blass, the HTC U11 Plus has made its way on Chinese certification site, TENAA. Firstly, in terms of design the smartphone has no bezels on the sides, with thin ones at the top and bottom. The rear panel appears to have the same glossy finish as seen on the HTC U11. The rear camera lens is placed at the centre with the fingerprint sensor below it. Specifications wise, the HTC U11 Plus is said to feature a 6-inch WQHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.
As for the HTC U11 Life, the smartphone will run stock Android since it’s an Android One smartphone. Its leaked specifications reveal a 5.2-inch full HD display, and the Snapdragon 660 SoC under the hood. Two possible variants are expected of 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. For photography, it will possibly sport 16-megapixel rear and front cameras. More details include a 2,600mAh battery, IP67 rating, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port. Its possible pricing is revealed to be €400 which translates to approximately Rs 30,700.
